Join me this November in Washington state, for a course in the stable amalgamation of mixed media and encaustic art, being held at the Pacific Northwest Art School on beautiful Whidbey Island.
This workshop is for anyone, beginner to advanced, in understanding the principles of stable layering between paint and wax medium. By applying the steps and basic techniques, the student can quickly go from novice to master! In my classes, we use personal photos and images to create personal art that speaks to the soul. I tend to work quickly, and intuitively. After the principles are laid down through a step-by-step project, the intuitive part of art can begin to take root. I will encourage students to take their art to a very free and profound place. “Move quickly, follow my lead, don’t second guess, then listen/watch as the creativity begins to take over”.
